Tailgating Information

We are excited to offer tailgating as part of the FAMU game day experience. 

Tailgating is permitted in Bragg Memorial Stadium within the designated spaces you have paid for. No tailgating is allowed in any parking garage or campus roadway. In parking lots, tailgating shall be confined to the parking space you have paid for and shall not impede traffic flow or parking spaces for other vehicles.   

A limited number of additional tailgate spaces are available on the Paddyfoote Lawn, located directly across from the Student Services Center on Wahnish Way. These 20’x20’ spaces may be requested through a reservation process. Please complete the information below to request your space. 

Tailgaters on the Paddyfoote Lawn will be provided a space number and are expected to park in their designated space. Drop-off/set up is Friday from noon to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to noon. 

Please note that FAMU is not responsible for the loss or damage of items left in the tailgate space. 

• No vehicles allowed in the tailgate area

• No sale of goods or services is permitted in tailgate spaces.

• Glass containers are prohibited.

• Propane grills are permitted, while charcoal grills are prohibited. If tailgating on a grassy area, the grill must rest on a board to protect the grass and soil from damage. 

• Extension cords cannot be connected to any campus building.   

• Animals are prohibited except service animals. 

• Portable restrooms will be provided. Therefore, no individual should arrange for portable restrooms delivered on campus. 

Failure to comply with the guidance above may result in losing access to future tailgating opportunities. 

Single-game tailgate reservations will close on Wednesday at 5:00 pm on the week of the game, or when capacity is reached.
